This course is a study of the Java programming language. Topics include operators, data types, language syntax, programming applets versus applications, object-oriented programming including classes, methods, and inheritance, event-driven programming, and Java development and execution environments. Students are expected to be familiar with structured programming concepts, top-down program development, and the C/C++ programming language.
